The water cannons are elements in Wipeout. They, of course, spray water at contestants from some of the obstacles. The common appearance it made, however, is the Wipeout Zone. They are particularly a nuisance as not only they can start a distraction, but they can also startle people, as well as making the competitors lose their grip on some of the obstacles. There are two types of water cannons: the water blast named that later explodes at mid points and intros to obstacles, such as Axle of Evil, and a jet of water that is slightly more common and acts like a hose.
