Tectonic Planks

The Tectonic Planks are an obstacle, used as the fourth and final obstacle in the Summer Wipeout Zone of Season 5, replacing Iced Over from Winter Wipeout. It was interchanged with the 3 C’s of Wipeout for the remainder of the season.

It is two rotating planks that contestants must cross and go over at least one peg to reach the finish platform. There are four stationary pegs with two above each plank.

The only contestant who cleared this obstacle on their first attempt is Whitney Cordray from episode 9.

It was replaced by both the Bounder Pounder and Twisted Falls in the next season.
