Swept Away was an obstacle used in some of the episodes of the 5th season in Wipeout. It was a Sweeper Bar that spun counter clockwise to take out contestants; and even if they jumped, the sweeper bar placed on the pedestal would raise up and still hit them. Instead, in order to beat the obstacle, they had to duck underneath to get past it.
