Sweeper Trees

The Sweeper Trees are an obstacle, used as the first obstacle in the Qualifier during episode 9 of Season 2.

It is similar to the Sweeper Run (which was used as the first obstacle in the Qualifier during episodes 4 and 12 of the same season).

It’s three trees of sweeper arms rotating over two narrow beams contestants must run through without being knocked off into the water. In the first set, there is one tree with low and high sweeper arms. In the second set, there is another tree with low, medium, and high sweeper arms before the final tree with only two low and high sweeper arms.

The only contestant who cleared this obstacle is Anthony Caldera.

It was replaced by the Breakaway Planks (which was used as the first obstacle in the Qualifier during episode 5 of the same season) in the next episode.

A patriotic variation of this obstacle named the American Sweeper Trees later appeared as the first obstacle in the Qualifier during episode 18 of Season 3.
