Season 6’s Scare Chair
The Scare Chair is an obstacle, used as the first obstacle in the Wipeout Zone of Season 6, replacing both the Bombastic Blob and the Temple of Flume from the previous season. It was interchanged with the Slingshock throughout the season.
It is a reverse catapult where contestants sit in a chair at the bottom with the pivot at the top. Then the sparks fire, and on the last second of the countdown, the chair flings them 30 feet into the air and into the water.
It was replaced by the Catastrophic Cannon in the next season.
