Plank in the Face

Plank in the Face is an obstacle, used as the first obstacle in the Qualifier during episode 2 of Season 2, replacing A Bridge Too Far from the previous episode.

It is a series of narrow planks, some fixed and some tilting, that contestants must cross to get to the other side. There is a ladder in the middle that they can use to attempt the second half if they wipeout on the first half.

It was replaced by the Banana Hammocks in the next episode.

Later, a similar obstacle named the Collapsing Catwalk appeared as the first obstacle in the Qualifier during episode 15 of Season 3.

Game Appearances[]

Plank in the Face appeared as the second obstacle in the Qualifier of Wipeout: The Game, being interchanged with the Breakaway Planks (which was used as the first obstacle in the Qualifier during episodes 5 and 10 of Season 2) and the Double Diving Boards (which was used as the first obstacle in the Qualifier during episode 9 of Season 3), except it only had two or three planks.
