That mud is so disgusting!
First, that nasty mud…… and now this?
I'm not going to fall into too much mud, right?
I fell in so much mud……
I feel like something bad is about to happen…
Mandy Watanabe was a contestant in Episode 4x17. The clip of Mandy Watanabe’s run is the most popular clip on Wipeout’s YouTube channel. She was notorious for only wearing a bikini on the course (which resulted in a censor bar being placed over her lower half in parts of the episode.) As well as for being disgusted by the course’s mud. She was eliminated because the time for her run was too long. Despite being grossed out by the mud used on the course, Mandy was hit by all four of the course’s mud-containing obstacles in a row.
Performance:
Mandy starts by running down the ramp and towards the first obstacle. She almost immediately is stopped by the obstacle. Mud then cascades down onto her, causing her to fall into the pool of mud below. After getting out, she continues to the second set while complaining that the mud is disgusting. On the second set, she’s sprayed in the face with blue slime, which distracts her and causes her to get hit, knocking her into the thicker mud below.
She then runs on to the next obstacle while complaining about the mud again and asking where she’s going. Here, she tries to cross a set of steering wheels. On the first set, she’s sprayed with oil, and hit between the legs, but manages to stay on. She then however, is blown back by a hit in the face from the airbag, throwing her backwards into more oily mud. After, Mandy spits out a chunk of mud as she goes to the Big Balls. She’s scared by the motivator, but immediately jumps. However, she slips on the first ball, causing her to faceplant into the second ball and tumble into the water below.
Seeming relieved, she leaps onto the next obstacle and trips. She struggles to stand up as the platform moves, but after slipping on the slightly muddy surface, manages to get up. Then, she tries to jump to the second set, but it moves. She hits her face on the corner and falls into the water.
She then walks to the final obstacle. She pauses briefly and says she thinks that she won’t like it, as she’s hit by globs of ice cream and banana peels. Mandy jumps, and falls hard into the obstacle, before immediately slipping and falling into the water yet again, finally finishing at the alternate finishing spot.
