Icy Stairway from Hell

The Icy Stairway from Hell is an obstacle, used as the second obstacle in the Winter Wipeout Zone of Season 4, replacing both the Spin Cycle and the Gut Busters from the previous season.

It is an arc of stairs lifted up and down from their sides that must be crossed. The highest step is 20 feet above the water, and falls from such have been attributed to some contestants quitting their runs, which is what happened to both Andrew Deaver and Ryan Kroner in episodes 5 and 6 respectively.

Only four contestants cleared this person on their first attempt with two of them from the same episode:

Coincidentally, two of them later won their respective episodes.

It was replaced by Over and Out when the season moved on to Spring Wipeout.
