Season 3’s Fling Set (with curtain)
The Fling Set is an obstacle that premiered in the third season as the fifth and final obstacle of the Qualifier. It was interchanged with the Shape Shifter as the fifth obstacle throughout the season.
It consists of two red sweeper swings placed above a narrow walkway. Its default shape is a 'U' shape, but this changes nearly every episode. If the default bars are present, a few more objects like a curtain or square are added as a requirement for contestants to go through. Other shapes include:
- A horizontal square-'S'-shaped bar.
- An 'H'-shaped bar.
- A 'W'-shaped bar.
Unlike the Shape Shifter, this obstacle was never cleared in all of its appearances.
It was replaced by the Yule Log Jam in Season 4's Winter Wipeout. A similar obstacle called the Swing Blades later appeared as the second obstacle in Season 5's Summer Wipeout Zone.
