Wipeout Wiki

The Dreadmill is an obstacle, used as the third round in Season 1. It was interchanged with the Dizzy Dummy throughout the season (except for the pilot episode, where the Cookie Cutter was used instead).

It is a long conveyor belt moving at a speed of 15 mph (24.138 km/h) that contestants must run down from one end to the other as fast as possible or stay on for as long as possible. The fastest or longest four times move on to the Wipeout Zone.

It was replaced by the Slippery Course, the Rocket, and the Bucking Bull in Season 2.

A 4-story version of this obstacle named the Dreadmill Launch later appeared as the first obstacle in the Wipeout Zone of Season 3, being interchanged with the Catapult.
