Bobsled Blastoff

The Bobsled Blastoff is an obstacle, firstly introduced as the first obstacle in the Winter Wipeout Zone of Season 4, replacing both the Catapult and the Dreadmill Launch from the previous season.

It is a mechanical bobsled where contestants lie down on their stomachs. Then the lid closes, and on the last second of the countdown, the bobsled speeds up the track, and when it reaches the end, it shoots them out through the air into the water below.

It was modified and renamed into the Springshot, being interchanged with Chairborne when the season moved on to Spring Wipeout.

This obstacle was later the basis for both the Catastrophic Cannon and the Speeding Silver Bullet in Seasons 7 and 8 (TBS Season 1) respectively.
